    Welcome Squad
or outfit (skirt & top) that I can buy over the weekend (so obviously from a real shop, not an online one) and wear both for my birthday on Monday (restaurant + cinema) and for Christmas (restaurant + visiting relatives).

Don't worry about shoes, I have shoes.

just either a dress, or skirt and top.

I'm average height (5'4"), size 16, and my worst part is my stomach (I have diastasis recti, which basically means my stomach muscles are stretched permanently out of shape, so I look pregnant all the time. I would obviously be wearing stomach-holding-in-pants,) so an outfit or dress that makes the stomach less obvious would be lovely.

I'd like to spend less than £20 if possible, or £25 at a push.

I'm almost 27 and a mum of 3 kids, so I don't know what I can reasonably get away with. I don't want to look like a teenager, but I don't want to look like a grandmother either!

Any ideas anybody? I'd be rather grateful

thank you for the suggestion. I'm gonna pass though because $244 is a little over my budget of £20-£25.....plus I can't see how I'd be able to buy in time to receive it by Monday (hence why I specified somewhere I can physically go to and buy it in person).

But it's a pretty dress, that much is true.

Gorgeous, ruffle detail will draw attention away from your stomach, in a 16 and £25 - and I'm sure you'll look fantastic in it :h:

thank you for the suggestion It is a nice dress, but the model has much nicer legs than I do lol. I mean, my legs aren't a MAJOR issue, but I'm not exactly a waif, it seems a tad short.

I'll bear it in mind though. Thanks again

I honestly think this would suit someone alot more curvier than slim. Black/Grey tights would compliment this well too

the best thing to do is shop around and try things on
i suggest going into shops like new look, h&m, topshop those kinda places
look online to get an idea of what you want, but things look so different when you try them on

(hope this link works) something like this http://shop.hm.com/gb/shoppingwindow...type=matching# would look really elegant, you could wear it with a cardigan to the cinema and maybe dress it up with some nice accessories for the dinner part/visiting relatives

How about this dress from Dorothy Perkins? The pleat effect on front makes it a lovely looking dress, and would help disguise your stomach too :p: Plus it's in black, which is apparently a colour that makes your appear slimmer, bonus  Being quite a simple design, pehaps you could dress it up with some lovely jewellery/accessories?
They've also got it in a nice green colour here, too

This? Its kinda sexy, pair with black tights (http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&view AllFlag=&catalogId=33053&storeId =12552&productId=2159744&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryI d=208730&parent_categoryId=20860 7&sort_field=Relevance&pageSize= 200&refinements=Colour{1}~[black]^category~[230017|208730]&noOfRefinements=2) for warmth/ to cover legs up. Its red, which is a christmassy colour

And personally I'd put this with it for some drama!! I realise its over budget as its more than the dress, but isn't it lush?!

EDIT: Why do none of this links work?!
