Read an article in the Dailymail about two white british guys (steve and gerry) who were killed in a drone attack on the pakistani border. They were apparently fighting for the taliban/al-qaeda.

The british gov is "investigating" these reports. I'm sure more news agencies will pick up on this story.

Does this mean the profiling for potential terrorists will change somewhere down the line?

I can just imagine a burly, white, cockney white-van man getting pulled over for potentially being the leader of al-qaedas chigwell cell! LOL!!

well it isn't totally unbelievable. We all state that islam isn't a race and "some "white guys" from britain could have easily gone to "jeeehad"

apparently plenty of "ze german" variety of taliban/al-qaeda in that region.

Dailymail.... I feel dirty when providing links to the DM site, so try limit it as much as possible..

If it is true and the british gov don't cover it up then I'm sure it will be in more news outlets.

ah yes the good ole days! Tudors, victorians, the british empire.... all history now. Tis a shame...

The americans do it better.... manless drones.... baboom (not so good for the countless innocent civilians killed. And not so good for the diplomatic relationship with paksitan!)

what if steve and gerry were ex edl members disillusioned with the promise of weekly punchups and went of afghanistan looking for a real punchup!

If the discovery of steve&gerry as talibans is true then then it will be a win for al-qeada/extremist muslims in britain... why couldn't they just be content with going down the pub for a few pints, a quick grope of the barmaid and a kebab on the way home.

    Why betray your country>

you made me link the DM! Damn you!

the first article posted earlier yesterday:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-Pakistan.html

the second article earlier today suggests it may be a lie/propaganda

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-Al-Qaeda.html

if this is true, I suspect the british gov would be everything possible to cover it up (deny it) as it will be a big win for the extremists.

At first I expected some american friendly fire cover up story... but yeah it's a true story. I blame this on television: rich westerners with too much free time.
