    Hey,

I'm trying to make notes on the parts of an animal cell but I'm stuck on labelling this cell:

    http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5015/animalcell.jpg

Can anyone name me (at least as many as you can of) A to P? some may be the same, like O and M, which I think are both mitochondria.

Also is there anything important that this diagram is missing? I can't see any centrioles or microtubules.

    Thanks to anyone who answers

You can't really expect us to do your work for you. Why don't you list down what you think the organelles are and someone can look through it to see if you are correct?

      A – rough endoplasmic reticulum
      B – golgi apparatus
C – some sort of phagocytic vesicle / globular storage vescile
      D – same as c
      E – same as c and d
      F – villi
      G – cell membrane
      H – c/d/e
      I – smooth endoplasmic reticulum
      J – vesicle
      K – nuclear membrane/nucleus
      L – ribosome
      M – mitochondria
      N – nucleolus
      O – a flower?
P – is pointing at the same part as a.... endoplasmic ribosome?

probably not all right but the picture isnt that great you'd need a more detailed version to label it properly

F is microvilli not vilii - this could cost you marks in the exam.
      K - nuclear envelope
O- looks like an alternate representation of a mitochondrion

It is a very simple diagram compared to an electron micrograph - those are alot harder
