    Downloaded iPlayer programs use Digital Rights Management that means that they expire after 30 days and can't be watched any longer.

    There are still some that work
    The legality is actually a bit of a gray area, especially if you are using it to put the videos onto a device like an iPhone (that can't play the DRM'd versions).

    I hate the fine line in legality these days. This, in my opinion, is no different from recording something from TV onto video.

    Aren't we paying for the BBC? So surely anything they produce should be allowed to be kept forever if you wish to keep it.
