I'm at an overseas university in Asia studying Year 1 Law.
I want to re - apply to start afresh at Oxford or Cambridge next year, but I have a few concerns.
First, if I complete my Year 1 Law in uni, and get grades, can I use those in UCAS and to Cambridge?
And secondly I only have GCSE results due to special circumstances (Early admissions scheme only in my country) that enabled me to get to university.
If I write to Cambridge or Oxford explaining my situation, and how I want to apply and get at least a chance to interview, will they possibly give me an interview?
I'm talking about a full length letter explaining everything in detail, as my circumstances are so strange that I quit IB and did Early admissions.
And will my uni grades matter on UCAS ?
I had a chat with an advisor and she said that Cambridge or Oxford does admit people or give them an interview based on special circumstances, providing that I write to them and they read it!
Thanks so much everyone and please reply.

You need to appreciate that different colleges have different policies. I'd say its best emailing colleges you are interested to and asking for their preliminary views.

Jacketpotato, I want to sob because I'm so grateful that someone replied to my topic. I am in such a painful situation now.
My parents pushed me partly into this scheme, and I was not sure on what I wanted to do with my life before.
Now I truly realise I want to apply for Oxford or Cambridge, or even to LSE and any UK univesity, as it is my true direction.
It seems to be too late, and too hard to do so now...for me, it seems that there's no hope...
