I'm thinking of getting a choppy layered haircut, but I really honestly don't know, I actually have nearly no idea what to do with it and I have no idea what various haircuts look like, my hair has gotten to a fairly good length now and I tihnk its long enough for a haircut.

WOuld it look good with a choppy layer haircut or would it want something else? Be honest.

It looks kind of plain and boring right now.

    Any help much appreciated!

Don't want to alarm you but think you should sort out that big black box that's attached itself to your face first

without seeing your face its hard to tell. but "choppy layered" cuts have a tendency to look alright on most people, so yeh just go for that and see how it turns out.

in a month or two your hair will have grown anyway so its not the end of the world if you don't like it
