# C1 Question Watch

1. I'm not sure how to go about solving this question. Do I make y=0 and then equate the two ? As I'm trying to find point of intersection?
2. Yeh.
3. Yep you make y=0, and you'll get a quadratic.

Solve this & you'll get two values for x, as the graph passes through the x axis twice, once at the origin & once at A. So you should get x=0 (as you know it crosses 0,0) & the other value will be for A
4. Because the graph crosses at the x-axis, you know that y=0

so, 3x-x^3/2 = 0
x(3-1^3/2) = 0

So, x = 0 or x = 3-1^3/2

x = 0 or x = 2

therefore, A has the coordinates (2, 0)

did that help?
5. (Original post by Mathematical)
3x-x^3/2 = 0
x(3-1^3/2) = 0
careful

6. (Original post by Pheylan)
careful

and THIS is why I applied for English :P
