I have my C drive split into two. I wanted to see how Windows Vista would play out and it looks quite good. The other half of the drive has Windows XP, but that half also has some of my important files, data and software which i'd like to bring across. In other words, I want to keep Windows Vista, get rid of XP and merge both halves of the drive.
Any idea how?
How to merge 2 partitions without losing data and removing an OS at the same time? Watch

You can mess around with partition tables, but what I would do for simplicity sake is back up everything I need onto an external drive, format everything and install a fresh copy of Vista. Windows doesn't cope too well with being pulled around.
Also, why Vista? Windows 7 has been out for well over a year and is much better.
