A titration was carried out where 40cm3 of 0.1 moldm-3 NaOH was added to 25cm3 of Ethanoic acid. The Pka of the reaction was 4.60 and the value of ka= 2.51 X 10-5 moldm-3 and the equivalence point= 23.83cm3. Calculate the concentration of ethanoic acid .

Can someone please help me !!!

I posted a load of crap earlier on - I didn't actually read the question!

Write out the equation for the reaction.
Calculate moles of each from MV to find M for ethanoic acid.

The values of pKa and Ka are utterly meaningless for this question.

Well it's an acid-base reaction so think about the transfer of protons between ethanoic acid and sodium hydroxide for the equation.

What is MV and M?? If you just want to find the moles use the formula of CV/1000 and rearrange accordingly.
