I'm meant to be going away at the end of January but my passport has expired.

If I send off for a renewal now, will it be done in time?!

I think mine took about two weeks.

But it could take much longer, you really should have checked earlier...

Depends how much you want to pay, but it should be yes.

I was just looking up the same thing as I had a problem getting into russia because my passport was slightly damaged, although it was all fine in the end :/

Can take months and costs about £80 for that long. It can be done in a few days, but be prepared to pay through the nose for it!
