Well im leaving school next year and i really want to do an apprenticeship in IT but im also worried that if i just did this apprenticeship i would have limited job options and would never earn a over around £30k/yr.

So what i need to know is, after completing an advanced apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 i think they are, right?) would i have the option to go to uni and further study, or would it not be worth it and should i just take up a job since i will probably have offers when ive completed my work placement.

I know that a lot of people say that it is pretty hard to get a place in university without A Levels, thats why im worried.

Life experience counts towards your application, as do any qualifications that you have. If you'd class as a mature student when you start, your application is considered in a different way to the kids who come straight from college so I wouldn't worry.

But i wouldn't be classed as a mature student because i leave school at 16, 2 years being an apprentice would make me 18 then i would want to be getting in to uni, right?

Some universities will accept an NVQ lv3. However if your worried they won't, there is always the option to take a foundation year and then go onto a degree course.
However, if you're doing an apprenticeship then surely you should be took on by the place you're working at, as this is what usually happens.
