    Im having trouble with this exam questions:

    A sigma plus(+) particle is a baryon, it contains 3 quarks, one of which is an s quark.

    Which baryon will the sigma(+) particle eventually decay into?


    If it has an s quark I assume it decays by the weak interaction. Anyone know how to answer this questions and maybe explain it?

    I thought all particles eventually decayed to protons, but I'm rubbish at physics so..

    OMG ofcourse! all baryons decay into protons directly or indirectly! haha thanks

    remember not all particles do though, only baryons. Mesons do not have protons as a product when they decay.
