    Hi,

Would insurance coverage, the question states prescription eyewear coverage by an insurance organization, be calculated in GDP? I would assume so as it would be a service. On the other hand the goods would only be purchased on a claim. I'm confused with this one. Would appreciate some enlightening. Great forum!

    Hey.

I believe it to be as it is an income and a revenue, provided it is directed within the economy and not overseas (to be in GDP).

Insurance services are not only a possible claim, but peace of mind/lower risk in general.

    Hope this helps!
