I'm trying to set up XBOX live, I think I need to manually enter my computers IP address for the wireless network setup. Anyone know how I can find this?

You can do it automatically. Just search for networks and your SSID should pop up.

It's popped up now. I'm connected to the SSID. Although gateway says 0.0.0.0?

Is there anything else that should be filled in? I'm struggling to connect still, when I test the Xbox Live connection is still struggles to get past the first step of connecting to my SSID.

Does your wireless network need a password? You shouldn't need to enter any IP address manually unless your router isn't set up properly.

I'm a bit confused. When you say password? I did put a 13 key code in, and I think the IP address might have come up automatically. I had no luck connecting though, so I tried doing it manually. Again to no avail.

At this point I'm stuck as to what to do. Would it matter that I already have an Xbox 360 connected to this wireless network?

Yeah the 13 key code is what I meant. The exact form of it depends on your router's settings.

If you want to try setting the IP manually it will probably begin with 192.168.0 and pick a number between 1 and 254 for the last part. The problem with this is it has to be different to anything else on the network, which is why it's better to leave it automatic so the router can deal with deciding which addresses to use.

If you can find the IP address on your PC check what the first 3 numbers are (as I said, probably 192.168.0). That part should be the same on the Xbox, only the last one should be different.

It shouldn't make a difference if you already have an Xbox on the network.
