Would the smell of the faeces linger after the water has gone down the plughole? If, for example, hypothetically speaking, one was to have defecated whilst taking a bath and pushed the item itself using their fingers down the plughole, and they could smell it in the bathroom a long time after the bathwater had gone, would it mean that the faeces are stuck down the plughole?

That's a very strange and specific question. Has this errr, happened to a errr, friend of yours then or something?

Hypothetically, of course, one could assume that some matter might remain within the drainage system and would get some bleach down there as quickly as possible. If that doesn't help then maybe go for drain unblocking solution and possibly onto the plunger after that...

But this is all "What if" though, right?

you gonna have to try break it up do you have any sort of high pressure setting on your shower whack that down there but be careful because odours will be released during the process ONLY TEMPORARILY also it would be beneficial to create a secondary distraction defecation in the toilet and leave it or come out of the bathroom and loudly proclaim you have done a really smelly poo just to try create a red herring until the smell of the tub poop has gone

haha. Surely you could have made it? The toilet is probably a few feet away from the bath!
