Basically I have A-level resits - really important to me but my parents are divorced and I have to see both (live in seperate cities). I really need to be settled and in a library revising . When I go away to see my Dad it will be bad because there is no spare room - so no desk/quiet place. He has 2 young kids too. Plus all the family will be round so I can't just ignore them and revise somewhere else. I'm there for a week. I have 5 weeks until exams. I'm getting really stressed about this

Anyone else have a similar problem? How can I sort this? I can't refuse to go

Is there not a local public library you could escape to at least once in a while?

It is important to see your family, but they ought to understand how important your revision is as well, and allow you time to leave and do so.

I've never been to this place where my Dad lives so I'll have to find out. But they really don't understand - they just think I'm a geek for reading books at xmas (they're lovely but they just don't see how important this is). I think it will really offend them if I leave to go to the library

Have a talk with your dad before you go, and explain how much it means to you?

How long have you got to stay with him for?
