    Hi all,

Having a major problem in my editing programme and I've really tried everything, id say im normal to advanced knowledge in sony vegas.

I'm using 'Sony Vegas Studio Platinum 9.0' and i'm editing 16:9 footage. I've tried to render the video in 16:9 but its only comign out as 4:3.

The video i'm doing is for a major competition, the deadline for submissions is under 20hours away so i need to get my skates on.

I have set up my project as 'PAL DV Widescreen (720x576, 25.000 fps)'

I have then gone into event pan/crop and right clicked and selected 'match output aspect',
clicked 'no' in maintain aspect ratio,
and clicked 'yes' to stretch to fit frame'.

In my preview window my video is now 16:9, so i hit render and the finished video ALWAYS comes out 4:3, despite appearing to be 16:9 in the canvas and all the settings being right.

ive also tried windows movie maker as a last resort but that leaves a letterboxing edge, which is not allowed in the competition.

    Anyone have any ideas??

    Please help.
