Did anyone else see this?
It was a real eye opener, not just about how the US pursue their wars with utter contempt for human life but how the major media networks and stations do little more than offer up their news to fit the military's agenda.
Anyone who is interested in news journalism, the media or the way the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have been presented through western media, should definately watch his film.
The PC I'm using won't let me paste a link to Pilger's website trailer

theres already a thread on this somewhere.
It was okay, obviously made with clear 20/20 hindsight. It seems John Pilger has just got all his mates to appear on a video to agree with him or make outlandish statements without any kind of evidence.
John Pilger himself is a bit of an idiot anyway, he is one of the 'blame america first brigade' who has disagreed with basically every single part of US foreign policy over the last 40 years, just because they are american. He spent years praising the 'liberating efforts' of the NVA during the vietnam war, when saigon fell in 1975 was he in the streets congratulating them? No, he was one of the first people on the US embassy roof desperate to get evacuated.
He complains about 'biased' news reporting, well this is also equally biased, and if the entire british press/media are so deceptive about it why would ITV have agreed to air his show in the first place?
In all honesty, people on this forum will not take the government line unless it is backed up by like 300 different sources (and maybe rightly so), but they take everything said by the people in this documentary at face value?Last edited by Square; 20-12-2010 at 14:27.

Love the guy. One of the few voices who dares speaking up against the righteous minded US of A...
Even though the government-whipped news organisation is not mind blowing. It is always great to see are more chronological following of their tactics and in a condensed narrative on how they mislead deceive and lie to the general public, because they have to maintain their weekly payments.

I was most shocked at how ITV had actually managed to produce an intelligent program.
