Hey, thought this'd be the best place to post...

I'm after an xmas present.... a book on the brain. More a fun to read/interesting book. I've had a quick look on line and most of them seem to be textbooks aimed at students, as opposed to general reading.

    Any help/recommendations?

    Cheers

I got my partner (a neuroscientist) a book called "Beyond the Zonules of Zinn". It's not a text book, it's nice to read, and talks about the development and anatomy of the brain etc. Apparently it's a very good read!

This isn't a book but 'Plastic Fantastic Brain' is running on discovery these days, it's quite good just for general knowledge
