Depends how clever you are and what degree you're taking. I've heard it's a lot easier to get a first if you're taking an arts degree than if you're taking a scientific degree.

I don't get why people always think its a matter of hours. Surely its the effort you put in and the quality that comes out. For some people that could just be a few hours and others it could be a lot more.

It's not about hours, it's about the amount of work you do. Some people have more productive hours than others, sometimes people have a productive hour, then a wasted hour. Just do all the work you can, work your hardest and it should work out fine.

Quality - depends how you revise and how well it works for you.

Actually, I'd disagree with this. In a science degree, an answer tends to be right or wrong by fact. An art degree is a lot more down to opinion. That's just my opinion though.

As many as it takes to ace the material and elicit thought-provoking insight and analytical skills in the exam.
