I want to lose some weight...i know eating well is a big part of weight loss, but i wanted to make sure i was excersizing enough to make sure the pounds drop off?
i regularly use one of those eliptical running machines, do you think half an hour for 4 days a week is enough? or should it be an hour?

    any other tips greatly appreciated!

if you're just losing weight 30 minutes 4 times a week should be sufficient, don't waste time on an eliptical do HIIT if your only goal is fat loss (assuming you're able to cope with it) its a lot more time efficient

If you are sweating profusely and can hardly breathe - due to duration, not resitance - you are doing it right. At least 30 minutes though.

30 minutes is alright but I'm sure I read somewhere that for significant weight loss through exercise it should be about 45 minutes, 5 times a week. However, if you find it easier to lose weight than me and you are combining it with a healthy diet then what you've said should be sufficient.
