Hey, I thought I'd make a thread about Lostprophets. They seem to be a band that everyone knows but that no one really talks about anymore.

    Love or hate?

Personally I LOVE them! thefakesoundofprogress is my favourite due to it being the only real British nu-metal album ever made, and Start Something was my childhood.

Even though they probably have got a bit more lame over time, I still love the past two offerings, and don't get the hate for them.

Surely a they are a band that knock out a ****load of singalongs what with the likes of Burn Burn, Last Train Home, Last Summer, Can't Catch Tomorrow, Rooftops, Where We Belong?

    Or maybe not?

    What do you think :O

I used to love them 'back in the day' but their Liberation Transmission album was pretty awful. That said, I saw them shortly after the album was released and it was an awesome gig - full of, like you said, brilliant shout-out-loud choruses!

My musical taste has changed immensely since then but I can't deny that they were a solid band.. during their earlier years

I really like them! Haven't heard their newest album (although it's been out for a long while. ), but I like a lot of their older songs. You've listed some of my favourites! Burn Burn, Last Summer, Can't Catch Tomorrow and Rooftops are all amazingly catchy songs. I also love Heaven for the Weather Hell for the Company, A Town Called Hypocrisy and Make a Move. And you're right, nobody does talk about them anymore. It's a shame, they're a great band.

I'm not a fan though I'm friends with quite a few; I was dragged along to their gig last February and it was awesome fun, they covered The Prodigy and had walls of speakers.

Their first two albums are amazing! Don't think much of anything from Liberation Transmission onwards though.. Oh well.

Yep loved them back in the day along with the likes of Blink and Limp Bizkit. Don't listen to them much now but love the nostalgia when I stick iTunes on shuffle and one of their songs comes up...14 again.

Only discovered them at Leeds Fest one year. Even though they weren't headliners, they absolutely stole the show.

Have loved them ever since (even though I'm typically more of a Wetlife girl )

Liberation was pretty bad but every other album has been immense.

And Fake Sound of Progress is amazing.
