With so many overseas owners are we going to see more crazy decisions like Sam Allardyce being sacked and detering more young English managers getting involved.

Steve Bruce has warned of the potential consequences should the trend continue of foreign owners coming into the Premier League.

The Black Cats boss is warning of 'managerial carnage' following the events at Blackburn where new owners took over and promptly sacked manager Sam Allardyce despite his relative success of recent years.

Plenty of top-flight clubs are owned by overseas owners, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Aston Villa and Birmingham.

Bruce worries what will happen if the trend of foreign owners sacking British managers continues.

He told Talksport: "We've got to be careful. Who's responsible for selling these clubs? If we're not careful it's going to be carnage.

"If you look at what Sam did in two years [at Blackburn], it's remarkable. He kept them up, brought in around £40million and finished tenth last season.

"You look at it and wonder what's happening. I think it deters young, British coaches from getting involved if this is the way it's going."

Remind me the nationality of Newcastle's chairman?

Contrary to popular belief, foreigners are often not the initiators or the only offenders of some of the more unsavoury antics going on in the Premiership. They just serve as a handy scapegoat by people unwilling to look any deeper.

Apparently the Blackburn owners threw a massive VIP bash during a game in Delhi to celebrate their ownership of a one-time winning Premiership club. They lost it 7-1. His fate was sealed.
