    In an AS English lit essay is it good to say 'I think' as well as saying what the reader in general would think...because I'm trying to give different points of view & want to give my own but I've heard mixed opinions on this...cheers

    My teacher told us as a general rule you can put your own personal opinion in the piece but only in the conclusion, as a summary of a particular point i.e my personal belief is that the main theme in Romeo and Juliet is.......xx

    I wouldn't. It's better to put 'another point of view is...' or 'it can be argued that...' etc. More analytical.
