i'm applying as an independent this year, and im revising at home and just paying for my exam retakes at my old school.

I need a reference but the teacher that deals with that absolutely hates my guts, i went to her and she kept saying come 2mrw come 2mrw etc, until the last day before the xmass holiday and she said she was 2 busy come on 5th of january....

my ucas is complete all i need is a reference, whilst most people have send them off i still i cant....

i know the deadline is 15th, but some of my friends already got offers, and all of them already atleast heard from their uni.

so what i'm asking is, am i at an disadvantage that ill finnaly be able to send mine off on the 5th? whilst almost everyone already has.

As long as you send it off before the deadline, it does not affect your chances.

If you send it before the 15th of Jan deadline, you will get equal consideration. Don't worry. Unis will offer places to the candidates they believe are the best for the course. Just because others have offers does not mean all the offers are taken.

Can't you find a different teacher to write your reference?
