I have to say that being ruthless and cold would help you to survive in nearly every hard condition life will throw at you etc War,starvation. It also helps with revenge.

I honestly believe humans are too soft as a whole and never seem to be in control of their emotions and that leads to stupid things happening.

Which one is better and which one are you?

I am ruthless and cold on the outside to cover up the fact that I am incredibly emotional and weak on the inside.

I'm emotional and "weak", in all aspects of life. I don't think it's as bad as it sounds.

I'd really prefer neither, but I guess that's the point of the poll :P
If I was pressed I'd say cold and ruthless, just because being weak is not actually nice for others, because they have to take care of you and you couldn't support them as much, whereas cold and ruthless can mean you are honest and strong.

You can mess with me, but don't mess with me.

The question is phrased in a bias manner, rendering this thread pointless.

    No it isnt.

Some think that weak is better then being cold.

    I dont however.

I want to be a nice person but if I'm pushed I can be ruthless and cold to people standing in my way.
But I think being nice to people is the way to go about business and life.

You're saying being emotional is weak, so yes it is bias.

Mental/psychological strength isn't measured by how little one displays emotions.

Well tbh they both sound pretty crap because they are both extremes. I'd rather be a mix of the two.

It is in alot of situations.

Lets say you're stuck in a bunker wyour best friend and you're both starving.A opptunity arises to kill him.The strong person would slit the neck of his best friend.

Keeping your emotions in check is vital.Barely anyone in high power postions are weak.

Yes it is. Weakness is a negative trait. Coldness isn't, necessarily.

Without even reading this thread, I can say with confidence it is full of teenagers being melodramatic.

OP - can't you have a happy middle ground? One for people who are neither [email protected] nor pathetic? Like what most people are?

    'To' is incorrect, it's 'too'.

I'm no pedant, but OP is a douche, so i felt like bringing it up.

    Nobody is in the middle.
