Hi, what is the centre of Stafford like? & how long does it take to walk from Stafford campus to the centre of Stafford where I presume all the pubs&clubs are? Oh yeah also, are there many clubs in Stafford(?) or is it just a small town where u have to go to Stoke to be able to go to a club? What are the names of the best clubs?

It's just over a mile and a half to where Couture / CASA are, so about 30 minutes walk. Those are the two main places people go, but CASA is pretty much dead in the water now. There used to be Love2Love and Chicago Rock cafe, but they closed down a while ago, I think they might be being converted into another bar. There's also a Wetherspoons and a couple of sports bars, namely "The Yard" which I quite like and "The Litten Tree" which is cheap. At the other end of town (about 5 minutes walk) is Aprés, which is a nice little cocktail sports bar that not many people seem to go to, which is a shame.

There's a ton of pubs dotted around the place, we used to go to "The Grapes" (almost next door to Couture) for karaoke after a pre-drink, before CASA/Couture, but I haven't been in a while. You're probably going to find yourself in Couture more than anywhere else as it seems to be the only place people go now. It's a multi-million pound club that opened last year with three floors. They have student nights and it can be a good laugh and they sometimes have live shows and events.

It is a small town and you're probably going to get bored of going to the same places all the time. I've been to Hanley a few times and had a good time there but taxis can get expensive (It's usually £25 or so each way) but after Carnage I remember being charged £75 just to get home!

    Hope that helps
