apologies if this is in the wrong forum
Im applying for architecture at a few universities and one requires a portfolio at interview. I'm really, really pessimistic about even getting to interview stage since im 19, have had no work experience, no extra-curricular activities and I think my ps is ****. Would it be wise for me to start preparing a portfolio now or wait to hear if I get an interview? I'd be suicidal if I spent like 100 hours or so creating one and then told im not getting an interview
to prepare a protfolio for architecture? Watch

It would be worse for you if you got an interview date a week beforehand and then had to create a portfolio. Do one in advance.
