    Hello

    I'm applying for a Summer School course and there's a question on the application form that says,
    ''Please state your total predicted or expected UCAS points"

    Does this mean I include my AS and A2? Cos that would give me a total of like, 900 which doesn't sound right! I'm in year 12 atm so doing my AS'..

    Thanks guys!

    Do your AS level predictions, but state the grades too. 900 definitely isn't right unless you're doing about 8 A levels! What are you predicted?

    and as it says total so I'd do it for the whole A'level

    A* 140
    A 120
    B 100
    C 80

    LOL well, predicted grades,
    AS History - A
    AS Biology - A
    AS Maths - A
    AS Chem - A

    then carrying Bio, Chem and Maths on to A2,
    A2 Biology - A*
    A2 Maths - A*
    A2 Chemistry - A*

    ie 120+120+120+120+140+140+140

    Yeah I'm sure I'm doing something wrong lol! Do you just count the A2s and then the 1 AS which I'm not carrying on with?

    You only include AS grades if you're not doing an A2 in it ... so you'd include A2 biology, maths and chemistry and AS history.

    60 + 3(140) = 480

    AS levels are worth half the points of an A2. So:
    a = 60
    b = 50
    c = 40
    d = 30
    e = 20

    However, you don't add your A2s and AS levels if they're the same subject (so you're not adding your maths AS grade on top of your maths A2 grade). Your predicted UCAS points for the end of this year would be 60 + 60 + 60 + 60 = 240 UCAS points.

    A2 UCAS points are:
    A* = 140
    A = 120
    B = 100
    C = 80
    D = 60
    E = 40

    You'll hopefully have A*A*A*a at the end of year 13, so your UCAS points would be 140 + 140 + 140 + 60 = 480 UCAS points.
