    a Calculate the speed of these protons.



    3 The Large Hadron Collider is a giant circular accelerator near Geneva in Switzerland. The LHC website provides some facts about it:
    • the circular ring has a circumference of 27km
    • each proton goes around over 11 000 times a second
    • each proton has 7 into 10 to the power of 12 eV of kinetic energy.

    a Calculate the speed of these protons.
