Can someone explain how can I clear my entire harddrive? I'm really bad with computers so you will have to dumb it down. Thanks in advance.

Have you already got a windows disk? and it depends if you want to just do a quick wipe, or a really slow version

Have you got 2 disks / partitions? If so, open my computer, right click on the drive/partition without the OS on and click format (move any files you want onto the other drive/partition). Leave it on the default settings. Then, install your new OS onto this drive/partition. Boot up to your new OS and format the drive/partition with the old OS on it.

Don't do that- you'll end up with the OS on the slower, inner part of the hard drive. Just format it using the installation disk.

    Use DBAN - http://www.dban.org/

Burn the .iso to a CD using Imgburn (free download, google it)
Set BIOS to boot from DVD/CD drive
Put the CD in the tray, restart computer
    Follow on screen instructions

This will wipe everything from your hard drive and you wont be able to get it back..
