My mum seems to get upset about silly little things really easy...am I really being unreasonable here? Basically I don't live at home any more, have my own place with my partner, Im going back to my parents for a few days over xmas (literally only going home tomorrow and plan on coming back on Monday) my mum just text to ask if my partner was planning on staying over at all over xmas, to which I said no (figured that was obvious as I said he would be going back to his folks) she asked if he was planning on staying over for New Year, to which I said I wasn't even going to be there for then and now she's got really upset and pissed off about it - seems silly really as I havent spent the last 3 New Years at with parents anyway, but they seem annoyed that Im not spending it this year even though I have my own house in a different town....Now Im probably going to spend the whole of xmas with my mum sulking Im not spending it with them.....

    Tell her to do one.

Tell her it could be worse - you could've been caught doing drugs in your room, got a tattoo and burgled a house (and my Mum still loves me )

She's probably just missing you, and wishing that you'd spend the whole of Christmas with her and the rest of the family :-) She will be okay, just needs to get used to the idea of you not being her little child anymore!
