Maybe issue a reprimand, and then limit the judge to certain work hours (e.g. make sure he doesn't have to be at court in the afternoon, bec. he might be inclined to take a nap at that time, so it's best to preempt that and just not let him do work when he'll be inclined to sleep)

It's important that judges can't be sacked easily. If they could we wouldn't have judicial independance because the government would have anyone sacked who disagreed with them, and we'd be living in a dictatorship.

Judges falling asleep doesn't happen often, our system concerning the sacking abilities of judges is better then any alternative.

As for the age thing, I think it's stupid that judges are all so old. We need to be like the french, where they let people train at uni how to be judges and can become one in their 20's.
