I was looking to buy Android as that is by far the best operating system for me.

I was considering a Motorola Milestone or a Motorola DEFY. The Defy has a faster processor, more ram but I was wondering could you run apps fine with only the specs of the milestone (600MHz processor and 256mb ram)?

Also is Froyo a big step up from Eclair as Motorola have delayed the froyo update for the milestone?

    Which one should I get?

You can. rrp is like £260, but CeX grade A that's basically new. I can buy a £200 voucher for £180 and spend instore.

Desire is way out of my price range. Instead of getting a desire, i'd get the i9000 or the HTC HD2 and hack it to run android, but that's way off £180.
