hi roomies, I just bought the Galax S & love it but am worried about the 2-3 calls I'M dropping per day for no reason. Also, when I click on a command (Phone, Call log, App, etc.), the screen goes black for a few seconds before reappearing... Anyone can advise me on these issues?
Also, how easy is the upgrade to froyo 2.2?
Oh- one VERY IMportant thing: how do I stop the phone from using mobile internet once I turn off wi-fi? I don;t want to end up with a heafty mobile bill as some of my widgets/apps seems to connect systematically.

    Cheers

The drop calls etc should be fixed once you upgrade to 2.2. To upgrade you need to download a software called samsung kies and it will do it all for you.

To turn off 3g go to settings>mobile networks>network mode then tap Gsm only.

"To turn off 3g go to settings>mobile networks>network mode then tap Gsm only."

once I get to the Mobile Network Settings, I have 4 options:
    1. data roaming
    2. access point names
    3. use only 2g networks
    4. network operators

I clicked on 2G network only & the phone said it's disconnecting "service data" (whatever that means), am I on the right track?
If i need my mobile internet, is it a simple matter of unlicking this 2G option?

    thanks
