    Hey guys i am currently on a gap year right now and i am applying to do English and Film at uni in september. Thing is i really want to gain as much experience needed for the course, so i was wondering if anyone could give me ideas on what i could do thats related to my course?

    search info about filmmaking on internet, read it as much as you can. Write a short script, grab a camera, ask for your friends to act and film it. Ask as much people as you can what they think about your film, and don't worry if they will say that it is a piece of **** (thats what happened to me lol), u are learning And watch a lot of films, and watch them constructively.

    P.s editing programs u can find in torrents, but you didn't heard it from me:ninja:

    Hey thanks for the reply man and i am definitely going to put all these ideas on board. Now to start saving up for a camera...

    Tbh i haven't done anything related to the course i am hoping to study and i am kinda feeling like i am wasting my life and time away by not doing anything remotely productive. I have got a couple of ideas on what i would like to base a film on however i need a camera and to get a camera i need a job...sucks

    Don't any of your friends have it? A lot of people nowadays have a camera, you just need to ask them. And if they don't, I'm sure that they have a photo camera and almost all new photo cameras can film too!
