Can someone explain to me why C_6H_5CH_2CHO is named 2-phenylethanal?

CH3CHO is Ethanal, the phenyl group is attached to the second carbon on the chain, thus 2-phenylethanal

It's an aldehyde so it has the suffix -al. There is a phenyl group on carbon 2 so the prefix is 2-phenyl and the longest carbon chain is two carbons long so the stem is eth. Put all together 2-phenylethanal
