Ok so I had a one night stand about a year ago. I am male, and we were both under 17 at the time and both white. We had unprotected sex and I dont really know much about her sexual past, although she wasnt a virgin. I've had no symptoms or anything at all in the past year, and recently i've been getting paranoid I could have HIV! I know i need to go get tested, and I will next week. However in the mean time its occupying my mind constantly! And oh, I know none of us ever took needle sourced drugs eg heroin etc.
So am I at a real, serious risk of having HIV? Or am i being a bit dramatic? Just want some possible reassurance that's all! Thanks.

if it happened a year ago why is it occupying your mind now?
You won't have any symtpoms of it yet so if you are trying to attribute some medical issues you are having to HIV then its blooming unlikely.

It's incredibly unlikely.
HIV is not an easy virus to contract. People who contract HIV generally get it from regular exposure, not one night stands. I'm not saying it's impossible. It is just unlikely.
It is also less likely for men to contract HIV from a woman than a woman to contract it from a man.
So until you get tested, stop worrying yourself.
