    i'm trying to apply online atm for leeds (firm) and birmingham (insurance) but it's saying my details aren't valid. i only made decisions like 2 mins ago lol so does it take time to process or should i be worried?

    I can only help you with birmingham. Did you put in the number on the offer letter sent to you (it had details of the applicant open day). I dunno if it'd take time but I've applied already so I know that it works.

    At Leeds (and I'm sure Birmingham will be the same), your details need to come from UCAS (usually via an overnight process) then need to download from the admissions system into the student system (again, usually via an overnight process). So that's a couple of days to start with. I'm not sure if there's any manual intervention required and if so, you may have to wait a bit longer as the university is closed until Tuesday 4th.
    But at Leeds it's not first come, first served, so you've got until July 1st
    Have you thought about coming to the accommodation viewing day on Saturday March 26th? That's usually the best way to get an idea of where you might want to put as your preference.
