Hey, so basically, I want to study English Lit, hopefully with Creative Writing, at good Uni, like either, Warwick, UEA, Bristol, Birmingham, Kent etc. My AS subjects are English Lit, Modern History, Maths and Physics. Are these subjects suitable for the English course? Will they frown upon my taking Maths and Physics? Thanks.

Why would they? It's English, they just want you to be good at writing, everything else is your choice.

They should be fine, history is a compliments english well - and maths and physics show you're all-rounded.

Yeah, they don't mind really about the maths/physics. As long as you are good at the english and the history, they will just want you to do well in the other two.

Btw... well done for choosing physics!

No, it shows you're more than a one trick pony and that you have a diverse range of skills.

When applying for sociology first time round, and the events course I'm doing now, the lecturers liked that I had done 2 sciences, a social science and a design course.

Yeah that's a good combination, as post above says History is a good complement to English. The bonus of having Maths and Physics aswell is that whilst it shows you're verstatile and it also leaves your options open in case you decide English Lit isn't for you in the future.

looks good, assuming that you're in your AS year currently, just drop either maths or physics (never thought i'd say that - i love them!) because history and english will massively help you
