Right, since I'm at home or even in a wi-fi area, how do I get my iphone4 to use the wi-fi there instead of my networks internet? I have verified the password my my home's internet and everything.. but when I go on the internet there is a small circle at the top, this means I am using my networks internet, right?

How do I know who's internet I'm using and how do I have a preference to wi-fi when I can use it instead??

All I can suggest is to make sure that under settings Wi-Fi is turned on, and make sure a network is chosen. Alternatively, you could put "Ask to Join Networks" to 'off' - that way it'll connect you to any Wi-Fi it can in the area? My iPhone automatically connects to my home Wi-Fi and always prefers Wi-Fi to 3g whenever available by default?
