XYZ Pumping Iron Watch

    Really need to stick to a decent routine to make good gains so gonna start up a blog. On Bill Starr's/Madcows 5x5 and I've been enjoying it so hopefully should get some strength and aesthetics from it.

    Height: 5'10"
    Weight: 77.5kg

    Not really going to bother to list every single weight because it would be quite long so just going to post the last set (heaviest).

    Edit: Just note to self: 100kg bench, 160kg squat/deadlift by December 31st 2011. If not, I fail at life.

    Good session, got all the main lifts completed. Added in some chins after recommended by Smack (I believe). Quite tired though so only did a few.

    Felt too tired to do any chin-ups to be honest. Even though it's meant to be a light day it wasn't easy at all. Squats and Press were, admittedly, but deadlift was quite tough.

    Alrighty, well Squat was quite hard last rep or two but got it.

    Bench Press I asked a guy to spot me and I got 4 good reps but the 5th one was dodgy. He said he didn't help but I don't know - he touched the bar. No reason for him to lie but some others have helped me (quite obviously) and then said they didn't help me so I dunno.

    Rows were quite easy but again, quite light. Just trying to get form more spot on then hopefully see good gains.

    Realised I'm doing Sit-Ups wrong (noob) because I'm doing them on some thing and using legs a bit to push myself up. Chin-ups were a bit fail to be honest, like 3, 3 or something.

    All you can really do is say "don't touch the bar unless I say 'take it!'". Though some people still insist on fingering it!

    It just annoys me that they all suck at spotting. Whenever anyone asks me, I don't help unless it's going down instead of up.

    People are the ****test spotters ever. I remember once I was going for a bench PB and told the guy atleast 3 times, don't touch unless I say. He helped me unrack it, and kept his finger there the whole time, I got up and said I told you to not touch it. He replied it was only two fingers, so it was basically you. What a ****!

    Not gonna bother now with spotter. If it falls on my chest and kills me (touch-wood) then I've not been training hard enough.

    All new PRs which is awesome-ness. Squat felt really good, difficult but not like I was about to die. Bench press was also fairly good so maybe this is the creatine kicking in and helping me a little.

    Went surprisingly well. Squats were very hard which is slightly worrying me 'cause I feel I may stall soon. Pleased with bench too; the 4th rep was as hard as hell but was determined to get that 5th - and did. No spotters because they are all stupid.

    Legs are decent I think but chest is really lacking from what I see.

    Pleased to have hit a PB on deadlift for 112.5kg x 5. Was difficult but not too much so that's a good sign I think.

    Also, I hit 40kg on press again because in reality I should have done 41kg but I only have 1.25kg plates minimum so can only go up in 2.5kgs.
