If the worse happens, if you don't get into Uni, what are your plans for the furture?

For me, I really don't know! I'm 23 in August and I feel I've left it long enough, If I don't get into Uni this year I'm going to have to find a full time job and just stick with that, even if I am not happy in the job.

I've gone too long now with out a full time job while getting my level 3 Qualification so if I don't get in this year, I don't think I could stand another year just hoping that I'll get into Uni the year after.

So I really hope I get some offers this year!

How about you guys? Plans if you don't get into uni?

Well, I have my insurance. If I don't get that... then I'm probably gonna go back to college and redo the year, as I want to get to a pretty good Uni. Though I like my insurance, I hope I don't need to use it.

I've been thinking about that. I'd consider clearing but considering the competition this year, I think the places in clearing will be crap and I couldn't deal with the worry! If I'd missed the grades any other year I would have taken a gap year but now with the fees increase coming, I'd want to make sure my course/institution was 'worth' the fees and so I'd probably apply to better unis but they wouldn't accept retakers... I don't know! This is scary! I now feel like working even harder to make sure I get in this year!

I would like to say something to you, but before i say it to you im also speaking to myself. !!!

Okay , looking at your username Studyhard > live better

This isnt True, studying doesnt always, make life better okay,
why not, getting you alevels, doesnt make you rich,
not even in long term, you have soo long of university life to spend and soo much more to pay for fees.

your 23, its up to you what route you take, but best thing is if you dont get into Uni,
do full time work,But always do your BEST at work,
after 2 years or something, you get soo much experience, that you have the ability to become the manager, of that place, 3 years later, you can apply for a more provisional job, They wont check your qualification, when you have previuos experience and reference, But the key thing here is, Find A job that you like and one that can get you somewhere.!!

and what would have happend to you if you did go to uni after 5 years, just compare the difference. You would get a better life.

anyways thats what i think, is good to do,!!
Pm me if you want to know morre.

I missed both my offers last year, and I'm retaking exams and reapplying. Most unis are still happy to except retake students, so I haven't found I'm limited in any way by where I could go if I get better grades this time.

If I didn't end up getting into my insurance I'd use the year out continuing my current job working full time in the hospital as it's pretty good money. However I'd love to work in a Lush shop or one of their factories! I'd love to come home smelling like bath stuff rather than sweat, blood and hospital cleaning products for once :^_^:
