Having used the student finance calculator, i have realised that my maintenance allowance will not cover the rent for my uni accommodation alone. If my maintenance grant is not enough to cover rent can it be increased as i will not be getting any support financially from family. I will hoping to get a part time job, but this will be needed for food money, going out etc.

Any help would be great, thanks.
