I did wish to create a thread based upon and of fact. I didn't, but much of it is based around fact,- although relies heavily upon opinion, political view and definition.

    Muslims:

There are over 1.5 Billion Muslims in the world,- the actions of even a million, do not represent the actions of all of "them".
That's why your logic fails. Don't generalise, it makes you look silly.
(and no, I'm not Muslim and i'm not pro terrorism.
    ITS FACT)

    Terrorism:

Step one, define terrorism. Step two, learn history. Step three, question why.
Terrorism did not start on 9/11, and it's not "Muslim" exclusive, there have been terrorists of all nationality, religion and ethnicity throughout time.
Ask why: maybe they have a cause, or reason?

    Public services/ Government austerity measures:

It's all tax payers money, well all money from tax. Your money, everyone's money,- so don't forget, it's not government money,- it's your money, their money, everyone's money.

    Gays:

You ask most gay people, they say they were born gay. You might not like what they do in the bed room, but:
You don't have to think about this, they might not like what you get up to in the bedroom.
Not every gay person is a queen, self centred or feminine either.

Welfare (to Daily Mail readers mostly):

I'm a Conservative,- yet I support the welfare system. Why? Because there is always someone worse off than you.
The NHS is a form of welfare,- you use welfare.
The system is in theory for everyone by everyone,- maybe it's far too extensive, but if you're in a position to do good or make someone else's life a better,- then why shouldn't you?

    Elections:

We have a Parliamentary democracy,- more people exist than just the Prime Minister,- you elect MP's directly.
Remember, we have a PRIME MINISTER not a President.

    Calories:

If you're on a diet or don't chose a good just because the number of calories is "too high", you're not onto a winner. Calorie intake matters,- but so does the whole range of other factors you neglect.

    Sociology:

No it's not a useless subject,- we need Sociologists. People who work to the government, large corporations, marketing, local government, think tanks, MP's, charities and such are valuable.

    University funding:

It's tax payers money. Just because most students and some others support the protests,- does not mean you are right, there are millions who support shifting the burden onto the graduate rather than the tax payer.

    The Coalition:

Like it or not,- it's not wrong. Our constitution allows for this. It is legitimate rule.
Election promises and manifesto commitments are not legally binding either, things change, circumstance change.

    White girls:

No, not all white girls are ****s either. Just like everything else, you shouldn't generalise, not everyone is the same.

    Religious people:

You might think it's pointless, but following a religion means that people find comfort, morality, guidance and friendship. They maybe more likely to do good (even if for personal gain, or not).
You shouldn't care, they want to follow it, they can.

    The Holocaust:

Yes, it happened, so don't deny it.

    Politics:

There are far more powerful people than your MP and the Prime Minister.
Corporations, Banks and such hold the strings usually. Don't forget that.

Above are facts, sorry but they are. They're void of opinion.
Whatever bits of opinion have come through, i'm sorry, it's not meant to be opinionated.

I agree with everything you just said except the sociology bit. It's boring. But then that's just my personal experience.
But I could argue that everything you said is your personal opinion so therefore it could be wrong. How do we know that people who think the opposite of what you said are right? Or if neither of them are correct and there is a whole new idea we haven't considered? Or if there is no right?
Sorry going off on a tangent a bit.

    Everything is subjective.

Morals are based of the emotions of other people - killing makes people sad, therefore killing = bad and immoral, for example. But to some, killing makes them happy, can you really objectively say who's morals are right? And should those with different morals to the majority be discriminated against?

I agree,- but I didn't say Sociology was interesting.
I just said it's not pointless.

    Most are facts:
There are over 1.5 billion Muslims in the world,- obviously not every single one is the same/thinks the same.

    The constitution,- is fact.

We need Sociology,- fact, go ask anyone who employs Sociology graduates.

Tax,- it's called tax for a reason,- it's paid by tax payers.

I know a white girl, even if it's just one, she's not a ****. Therefore, not ALL white girls are ****s.

Call centres,- are you saying they're staffed by some new superhuman who does not have feelings? I'd be silly to say they don't.

I've no idea what this means ;')
    sorry
Its an Arabic phrase. Literally means 'Whatever Allah (God) wills'.

It is often used in occasions where there is surprise in someones' good deeds or achievements. e.g. people say Mashallah when someone does very well in their exams.

actually is it debatable whether those are facts or not.
For instance whether all White girls are ****s we first need to judge an appropriate universal definition of '****' and then whether you were correct in judging the White girl you met you judged correctly.

It literally means "the will of god" in Arabic, however it is used as a form of praise. Means you did good
