Is anyone else having a problem with Chrome? I got a message saying 'Threat detected' so I unistalled it and tried reinstalling it. When it had almost completed reinstallion, the same virus warning appeared and it failed to install. I tried this twice more, same result.

    I'm typing this on IE...

When exactly do you get this message coming up? Is this just during the usual installation process? What anti-virus software do you have?

    A screenshot might help.

Uninstall and then re-install. It could be the installation was corrupted.

For anyone else facing the same problem:

AVG seems to be the Culprit !
Please Revert back virus definition of Avg to previous state
    Go to Tools
Advance setting :- Go to Update and use the Manage to revert !
After that try installing it !

Or you can update to AVG 9.0 or 2011 free versions as it is mainly being observed in AVG 8.5

Thanks - I've installed the 2011 Free AVG and the problem has gone. I'm on Chrome again.
