    Ooookay:

    Brand new iPod classic 160GB.
Two year old Mac mini, but with all the correct requirements specified in the iPod instructions.

Problem is, when I plug in the iPod, iTunes (10.1.1) does not appear to know that it's there at all, even though the iPod knows it's plugged in and starts charging. It also says 'Do Not Disconnect'.

When it's unplugged it says 'Use iTunes to restore'.

I should bring up the fact that even my Last FM scrobbler knows it's there.

    So...

    Thoughts?
