Have you included the correct country code, and the + sign (or 00), and removed the first 0 in the number you're texting to?

Ie. +xxx____________. If my UK number was 07912345678 then it'd be +447912345678. I can't remembe what Germany's code is, though.

You didn't need that in Germany because you were texting a local number.

Hey, yeah I had her number in my address book as +49.... before I went there and my texts always sent, it's only since coming back that suddenly they don't work Looks like I'll have to call a help centre or something!
