They don't test beyond M3 so I don't think buying and 'learning by heart' higher mechanics books will help much.
Just learn the modules they do examine well, and then its just a case of past questions.

This may not be much help but I've looked at those papers and I can say that past papers and exam like question is probably the best you can do. They dont give you straight foward questions , your supposed to use your own initiative as well as everything you've learnt. So learning the books of by heart will only get you so far. You just need practice so you can understand what the questions asking and how best tackle it.

Would it be advisable for me to do AEA Maths, although I don't intend to study maths at Uni? I'm highly rated as a (Pure) Mathematician amongst my class/school.

I'm doing A2 maths (C3 and C4 and FP2 and NM also) but would AEA be worth doing. I recently saw some question papers from them and felt I can do them.

Feedback appreciated.

oh the bit about M4,5, and 6 was referring to Questions from Step 3, as i thought they could ask questions from these.

Yes i suppose that is the best method, the questions are probably a mixture of many concepts from M1-3.
