    Hi Guys,

I need a little help. I'm going to apply for a transfer to Leeds Met from Manchester Met, do I apply as an individual or through my current uni or old school? and also who do I get a reference from, or can I use the one from my old school last year? thankssss x

Where you get your reference from determines how you apply. If you get it from your old school you will probably need to apply through them - you can't just use the old reference without asking their permission. If you get the reference anywhere else you would apply as an individual. If you're wanting to transfer into the 2nd year, the uni you're transferring to will probably want a reference from your current uni to see you can cope with the work.

Okay thanks, that's great. So I just ask my current uni course leader for a reference then? Does that mean I apply as an individual and ask them for one or do I apply through my uni? I don't know what their buzzword is though, and I'm only just applying now. I hope I can get a reference in time

Unis don't have a buzzword - you apply as an individual like I said.
